Any laffy taffy fans here?
I made these cupcakes for my little girl and my niece’s Birthday party earlier this summer. I used the funfetti box mix and then topped it with Strawberry laffy taffy frosting. I found the recipe for the laffy taffy frosting on Real Mom Kitchen. Let me just tell you this frosting is phenomenal!! It was so good that what was left over, after frosting the 2 dozen cupcake, I put out as fruit dip. Really I would have been just fine eating it with a spoon!
Backyardigan cakePOPs
I made these a while back and totally forgot to post them. I really enjoyed making these guys and think they came out pretty cute. They where VERY time consuming and I was SOOO stressed out about them getting to their destination in one piece…Which they did *whew*. Hope you enjoy looking at them!
Christmas POPs
I had the idea of trying out Chocolate transfers on the cakePOP’s. Once I figured out how to do it without the weight of the POP sinking through the wet Chocolate I think they came out pretty cute. I’m going to play around with this idea a little more to see what other possibilities I can come up with, as I’m not to fond of the flat tops. Here are some pictures of the Christmas themed CakePOP’s I did for my families big Christmas get together in Michigan. I wasn’t able to be there so I mailed these tasty little pieces of myself instead. They made it with no problems at all in this nice cool weather, no need for an ice pack this time :0) I was glad to hear that the family really enjoyed them and found them to be quite addicting!

two firsts and some POPs
Here is a picture of my first two tier cake and also my first homemade Carrot cake, which was delicious! The two tier is done in Butter cream, with a Royal Icing princess topper(princess Presto form PBS kids, SuperWhy). Added some Chocolate hearts on the bottom tier, as well as an edible image.
The carrot cake has a crusting cream cheese frosting and fondant garden veggies and bunny.
these cakePOP’s where made for a beach wedding in Michigan and shipped perfectly from Nebraska! I was SOOOOO happy about that!
Enjoy the pictures.

They made it!
The test run for the cakePOPs was a success! I have now mailed 3 orders and each of them arrived unharmed. No more worries about long distance orders :0)
Sesame street cakePOPs
After many request from some online friends I gave these friendly Sesame Street characters a cakePOP makeover! I’m pretty happy with the way they came out, and they didn’t take me as long as the Yo Gabba Gabba friends! These will also be my first cakePOPs to really venture out into the world. I am sending them through the mail….hopefully this will go well and I will be able to start shipping orders regularly!

give me some sugar!
I used a little gum paste in the Yo Gabba Gabba cakePOPs and decided to play around with what I had left. So I made some sugar roses….I’m really excited I don’t really like making roses with butter cream, drop flowers are fine but roses are a whole other story, so I’m glad to have found I am not to bad with gum paste…..I have a few other tricks up my sleeve for flowers now also I’ll post those when I have some pictures to go with.
Yo Gabba Gabba cakePOPs
Here are some cakePOPs I did this week for a Birthday party. They are 5 of the characters from the childrens show, Yo Gabba Gabba. I’m not sure if it was the weather or what but I had quite a bit of cracking going on with my Candy melts….it was a little frustrating. It’s normal to have one or two a batch get a crack but this was almost every third pop! I am pretty happy with how they turned out, and hopefully if I ever have a request for them again it won’t take as long or be as stressful, lol.
