Yo Gabba Gabba cakePOPs
By admin on 8th May, 2009
Here are some cakePOPs I did this week for a Birthday party. They are 5 of the characters from the childrens show, Yo Gabba Gabba. I’m not sure if it was the weather or what but I had quite a bit of cracking going on with my Candy melts….it was a little frustrating. It’s normal to have one or two a batch get a crack but this was almost every third pop! I am pretty happy with how they turned out, and hopefully if I ever have a request for them again it won’t take as long or be as stressful, lol.

hi there are you selling these? I need party favors for my sons 1st bday this Sat. please email me. Thanks
I was wondering what you used for details such as the eyes and brobee’s red spikes. I am a baker/chocolateer and have had a sad failed attempt with Gabba recently.
In these pictures the eyes are piped chocolate, the pupils painted on with gel icing colors . Brobee’s spikes and uni brow are made of colored gum paste as are some of the characters noses and mouths ( few characters have painted on mouths with the gel icing colors). I have since found it easier to pipe or paint the mouths, noses, uni brow and most all of the facial characteristics. For the spikes I still use gum paste. I hope this is helpful for your next attempt. Feel free to ask any other questions!
